Burrito Chain Commits to Supporting Young Athletes

Illinois Youth Soccer is pleased to announce Chipotle Mexican Grill as the Official Restaurant of the Illinois Youth Soccer league and an official sponsor of the state’s largest youth soccer organization. Chipotle has already kicked off the partnership by providing bags, t-shirts and free burrito cards for State Cup, Illinois Cup and Presidents Cup champions.

“We are very excited to add Chipotle as a sponsor of Illinois Youth Soccer,” said Mary Jane Bender, Illinois Youth Soccer Executive Director. “Chipotle’s dedication to providing high quality food using the freshest ingredients separates them from typical fast food restaurants. As we were giving the free burrito cards to the champions of our recent tournaments, many of the players seemed more excited about the free burrito then winning a state title. I think that speaks volumes about Chipotle.”

In addition to their involvement in the State Cup, Illinois Cup and Presidents Cup, Chipotle will also be providing:

  • Water bottles for each member of the Illinois Olympic Development Program State Teams.
  • Soccer balls to each of the 300 kids participating in the Illinois Youth Soccer For Success Programs which is dedicated to providing opportunities to underprivileged children in Chicago’s inner city.
