Complete Details For May 5-6 Event

Illinois Youth Soccer is excited to announce that the Spring Soccer Festival has become part of the Target United Cup series. What does this mean for the event?  In addition to a great day of soccer, the Target United Cup Village will now be part of our event. The Target United Village is a unique and engaging oasis among fields of play. Activities will include: emcees driving engagement to and from the Celebration Stage; a Family Patio where guests and players can grab a snack and refreshment; an assortment of gaming options including challenge games, soccer billiards and video game stations; plenty of photo opportunities giveaways and overall fun for the entire family! 

This goes along with the off the field activities already currently planned for the event including face painters, temporary tattoos and balloon artist that are sponsored by the Illinois Women's Soccer League and Young Sportsmen's Soccer League. It will be hard to tell if more fun will be had on or of the pitch!

Team App
Illinois Youth Soccer will be utilizing TeamApp for day of event communications including any weather news, delays and to update scores. It also includes field maps, directions to the facility and field numbers for Saturday and Sunday games.

2. Log in. Then search for Illinois Youth Soccer and request access  Spring 2018 Target United Cup
 

ELIGIBLE TEAMS
Only Illinois Youth Soccer member teams are allowed to compete in the Spring Soccer Festival. If you compete in any of the following leagues you are a member and eligible

  • Central Illinois Youth Soccer League (CIYSL)
  • Illinois Women's Soccer League (IWSL)
  • ILLOWA
  • St Louis Youth Soccer League - Illinois (SLYSA-IL)
  • Young Sportsmen's Soccer League (YSSL)
  • An Illinois Youth Soccer member recreational league

PLAYING FORMAT

2010 (8U):  4v4 no GK.  No score or standings will be kept. Each player will receive a tournament t-shirt as part of the registration.

2010 (8U): 7v7. Each team will play 3-4 group play games with group winners and finalists earning medals and trophies.

2009 (9U): Games will be played 7v7. Each team will play 3-4 group play games with group winners and finalists earning medals and trophies.

2008 (10U): Games will be played 7v7. Each team will play 3-4 group play games with group winners and finalists earning medals and trophies.

Each age group will have 4 skill levels that a team can register for:

GOLD Division
Open to any team but designed for the most competitive teams and players. Teams and players that compete in the following divisions MUST register for Gold Division:
  • IWSL A & AB Divisions
  • YSSL 1st Division
  • CIYSL Platinum Division teams that finished 1-4
  • SLYSA Premier Division
  • ILLOWA Teams that finished in the Top 2 of their age division
SILVER Division
Designated for competitive teams and players who play in the following divisions and below:
  • IWSL B Division
  • YSSL 2nd Division
  • CIYSL Platinum Division teams that 5th and below
  • SLYSA Championship Division
  • ILLOWA Teams that finished in 3rd-5th in their age division
BRONZE Division
Only open to teams and players that compete in the following are eligible for this division:
  • IWSL C Division and lower
  • YSSL 3rd Division and lower
  • CIYSL Gold Division and lower
  • SLYSA 1st Division
  • ILLOWA teams that finished in 6th placce and lower in their age division
RECREATIONAL Division

Teams comprised of players from an Illinois Youth Soccer member recreational league ONLY. Recreational programs can create "all-star" teams to represent them.
