ROSTER REQUIREMENTS
- NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 6 (FALL EVENT) or APRIL 1 (SPRING EVENT) (OR 48-HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST MATCH WHICHEVER IS FIRST): Team must enter their initial roster into GotSport
- Final rosters are due 48-hours prior to their first match.
- ONLY players registered to your club in an Illinois Youth Soccer member competitive league are eligible to play for your team in State Cup
- Players can ONLY play on one State Cup or Presidents Cup roster for the soccer year (Fall – Spring)
- Does NOT matter if the player plays up in age
- Players who play with a Cup team in the Fall CANNOT play with another Cup team in the Spring
- Roster freezes once a team players their first group play match
- No later than 48-hours prior to your first match, teams must enter their roster into GotSport
- 48-hours prior to your first match, teams must upload a copy of their league roster, showing all players on the GotSport roster, into GotSport.
- Teams that advance to the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships will be able to make roster adjustments prior to the Regional event.
Game Scheduling / Game Changes
- Each team in State Cup will have 3 group play games
- 2 Games Scheduled In Rockford
- 1 Home Team Host Game that the higher seeded team will host
- For the games in Rockford
- Illinois Youth Soccer sets the time of the games. Teams DO NOT schedule a time in Rockford
- See event calendar for the date final game times will be
- Teams CAN mutually agree to move the matches scheduled in Rockford to another location on an EARLIER date
- The moved match CAN NOT be played on the dates games are being played in Rockford. Games on these dates can ONLY be played in Rockford as scheduled by IYSA
- Agreed upon game changes must be submitted thru the online game change form by the game change deadline in the event calendar
- All elimination round matches are to be played in Rockford as scheduled by IYSA – UNLESS IYSA approves movement of a Quarterfinal or Semifinal
- To move a group match to an earlier date and to a location other than Rockford. Teams must do the following:
- Contact their opponent (See Team Contact Info Above) and BOTH teams must agree to a new date, time and location. IF TEAMS DO NOT AGREE THAN THE MATCH IS TO BE PLAYED IN ROCKFORD AS SCHEDULED
- The HOSTING team must submit in the online game change form by the listed deadline in the event calendar
- TO SCHEDULE A HOME TEAM HOST MATCH. One match in the State Cup bracket will be designated as HOME TEAM HOST.
- This match is hosted by the team listed as the home team unless both teams agree otherwise.
- All home team host matches must be played no later than the Play By Date on the event calendar
- Teams mutually agree on a date and time.
- The HOSTING team must submit in the online game change form by the listed deadline in the event calendar
- The State Cup Referee assignor will send the referee crew for all home team host and rescheduled matches.
- Teams WILL NOT get a confirmation email of received game change info. Once new game info is posted on the GotSport Schedule it is approved and refs have been assigned.
MATCH DAY
- 48-Hours prior to your first match, teams must enter their roster into GotSport. See Roster Requirements above
- 48-Hours prior to your first match, the team must upload a copy of the IYSA member competitive league into GotSport
- Teams bring each of the following with them to each State Cup match
- Match card printed off of GotSport. Click here for instructions how to print your match card.
- IYSA member competitive league issued player passes for all players on your match card. Player passes for non-IYSA member organizations (NISL, US Club, ECNL, GA, etc) will not be accepted.
- IYSA member competitive league issued coaches pass for all adults on the sidelines. Any adult without a pass may NOT be on the sideline.
- Pinnies for players sitting on the bench to wear. This is the same process used at Regionals and Nationals and helps prepare the teams for that.
